Any bluetooth hackers in the house?

I am working on a fun side project and need to exploit bluetooth. I know about the different classes, 1 meter, 10 meters, and 100 meters. What I haven’t been able to figure out is if you can intercept a bluetooth device that is set at 10 meters at 100 meters. Does anyone know if this is possible? Also, the bluetooth device is built into the IoT product, so I don’t know the class for sure. It’s marketed as only being 100 feet, but I don’t believe anything that has a hardcoded pin.

I am fully aware of the sans institute attack in 2007, but I am not sure if the bluetooth dongle was set to 100 meters or not.

Let me know exactly what are you looking at.

Yes We can intercept the bluetooth traffic but it is dependent on h/w as well.

Also once you have a packet capture we can probably know the class if there is no kind of encryption used.
